Chocolate Fix

With the holidays quickly approaching, I figured it was a good time to share one of the easiest, and most tasty, cookie recipes I know!  Whether you need a simple chocolate addition to your fruit-dominated Thanksgiving dessert spread, or a cookie recipe to use at a holiday cookie swap, or even an affordable, easy dozen to whip up and giveaway as gifts, this cookie recipe fits the bill.  I actually found it on the back of a brownie mix box, and it reminded me of several chocolate crinkle recipes that I had seen (and wanted to try).  But considering this one seemed to skip about 5 steps, I figured it was worth a go...and I certainly did not regret it!
So, here is my super simple version of chocolate crinkle cookies:

Easier Chocolate Crinkle Cookies
  • 1 box chocolate brownie mix (I spring for Ghiradelli Double Chocolate)
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/3 cup oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
1.  Preheat oven to 350.  Place powdered sugar in small bowl to use later.
2.  Mix brownie mix, flour, oil, and eggs in bowl until blended.
3.  Scoop about 1 tbsp. cookie dough.  Roll in powdered sugar, working to shape into a ball at the same time. Coat thoroughly with powdered sugar.
4.  Place about 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet.
5.  Bake 10 minutes.
