Now, the viney pumpkin is gone, and the vases filled with pinecones, leaves, and cinnamon sticks have been replaced with new seasonal decor. The fun part about Hanukkah being so early this year, and especially becuase of our Vodka and Latkes party that we're hosting (more on that later), is that our mantle will maintain its Hanukkah identity throughout the eight crazy nights. Afterwards, we will start to add in some of our Christmas elements. So, here it is in all of its "Miracle of Lights" (hence, all the candles) glory:
I also added little touches of blue, silver, and white elsewhere in the house. Like here on our console table, with the cute Star of David dish from Target ($6.99):
Or, the additions of some fake snow and fun dreidels on one of our ***hideous, desperately need to be replaced*** end tables:
And although, ornaments are typically assoicated with the other holiday more commonly celebrated in December, in my world, if its sparkly and silver, it screams Hanukkah, so I added these little touches as well:
So, that's it...our casa's wintery makeover. My favorite part is that very little will need to be changed when we transition to Christmas in a few weeks (I also keep that decor mostly white and silver for the years when the two holidays overlap).
So, what about you all? Anybody else overjoyed that it is time to break out those holiday decorations? Please share
