Brie Please

One of the things I missed most while pregnant was soft cheeses, namely Brie. I've always loved the stuff, but there's something about being told you can't have something that makes you want it more. I blame my 10 month Brie withdrawal for my recent obsession with the stuff. Lately, it seems that any chance I have to make an appetizer, my first pick is this Sugar and Nut Glazed Brie from Paula Deen.
Not only is it delcious, it's actually super easy to make. With holiday entertaining in full gear, I figured you may be in need of yummy, quick recipes, so without further ado:

Sugar and Nut Glazed Brie

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 tbsp. brandy
  • 14 oz. brie
  • apple slices, water crackers to serve with
  1. A few days in advance (I usually aim for 3-4), stir brown sugar, nuts, and brandy in small bowl. Cover and refrigerate.
  2. Take brie out of refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat oven to 500.
  4. Place brie on pie plate. Bake 4-5 minutes.
  5. Spread sugar and nut mixture on top of brie and bake 2-3 more minutes or until sugar melts.
  6. Dig in!!!

PS: I can not take picture...like always, I forget to take my own, so this one is stolen from Paula's website.
