Tasty Tuesday: Cheese Dip

Last week, Josh and I hosted our league's fantasy football draft at our house.  At first, I considered going all out for the occasion, but realized my efforts/money spent on decorating would totally be lost on this group. So instead I kept it simple and provided some yummy food that I figured would be much more appreciated than some football lanterns!
Whenever I entertain, I usually stick with tried and true recipes.  After all, who would want to serve something that ended up being a fail?!?  But I have served a lot of my dip recipes over and over again, and while no one else probably notices, I am sick of them and ready for some new ones to add to the rotation.  Enter Pinterest...and this amazing Cheese Dip that will most certainly become a new regular at our tailgates, football parties, anything parties.  Everyone raved about it, and while it probably is just about the least healthy thing ever, healthy and football don't usually mix anyway, so I say go for it!

Hot Cheese Dip
  • 2 cups Cheddar cheese (for a milder version) or Pepper Jack cheese (for a bit of a kick)
  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup diced purple onion
1.  Preheat oven to 350.
2.  Combine all in baking dish and microwave just long enough so you can stir everything together.  I did mine about 2 minutes.
3.  Make sure everything is well incorporated!  Bake for 20 minutes!

Serve with your favorite chips or crackers.  My mom even dipped vegetables in it and said it was delicious. I'm guessing with all that cheese it probably doesn't matter what you serve it with!

  1. This sounds delicious! My husband is a Cowboys fan (and we're living in VA Beach) and I'm a huge Steelers fan. If we're being honest....we both just LOVE football. So we're always looking for new football food ideas.
