Last week I shared with you that I was considering purchasing some Flor tiles to use around our bed as an area rug. Being the cheapo that I am (or at least am trying to be), I didn't want to spend beaucoup bucks for a rug that would primarily be hidden under our bed, and I reasoned the Flor tiles might be the perfect, budget-friendly solution. Some of you recommended runners, and I had looked into that option as well. The problem? By the time I bought the 3 necessary to cover all three sides, my price tag was climbing quickly again.

And for a close up: I bought 11 tiles for a grand total of $176 for the whole "rug," much better than the $300-$400 a real rug would have cost me. Truthfully, once Josh returns and can help me lift that darn bed (although I must say I'm pretty impressed at accomplishing what I did alone...my back, on the other hand, is not very pleased with me) I am going to adjust the tiles a little. I think we may even need two more...one for each side...what do you all think?
