Bday Wish List

My birthday is less than a month away! If you're a regular around here, you may remember that I love my birthday! It's the one day (or in my case, series of of a few days...I like to stretch the celebration out!) that people go out of their way to do special things just for you!  I love it all: the phone calls, the unexpected Facebook posts, the special meals, and, of course, the gifts!
Over the holidays, I posted my wish list and explained that I really didn't want or need anything that badly! Well, I'm pretty spoiled and got just about everything off that list. So now, I can say even more sincerely that there is very little I need or want for my birthday! But people always ask, so I am happy to oblige...
1. After a few years with my beloved Sony Hybrid, I think I am ready to take the plunge to an official DSLR. I haven't done much research, but think the Nikon D3200 is a good introductory camera. I'm open to suggestions if anyone has them!
2. Clothes, clothes, clothes. With my birthday falling right before the official start of spring (and usually the weather cooperates!). one of my favorite things to get for my birthday has always been spring clothes!
Like this super cute dress from Apricot Lane (although I'm a little worried if I can pull off those cut outs)

Or a pair (or 2) of shorts from Loft

Or this cute tee from Anthropologie (speaking of, I could probably buy the whole store)
Of course, gift cards are always appreciated as well!

So that's it. Nice and simple this year, but hopefully filled with lots of good times with friends, family, and my boys!

Holiday Wish List

Ever since I posted the boys holiday wish lists last week, I have gotten tons of emails asking for mine.  Just kidding!  No one emailed (obviously!), but I figured I'd share it anyway!
Honestly, I'm no longer huge on the holidays.  Maybe, just maybe, I'm growing up!  But after having kids, I have found that my main excitement comes from watching them experience the holidays.  Plus, there's very little I need...or even want!
But my family members have asked for a list, and so a list I will provide.
1.  Nikon D3200.  I have used...and loved...my Sony Hybrid camera for about 3 years now, but I think I'm ready to upgrade to the big leagues!  I haven't done a ton of research, but this one seems to be a good introduction to DSLR's.  I am open to suggestions/advice, though, if anyone has any to offer!

2.  Family portrait from my little buffalo on Etsy.  I found these when searching for art for our new gallery wall, and now I have to have one!  Obviously, this isn't our family, but how cute, right?!?  And they're only $45 (plus a think a little more if we add Chipper!).
3.  Lamps (from Target).  Our living room lamps are in need of an upgrade, and so far, these are the primary candidate!
4. Michael Kors watch.  I've been swooning over the rose gold one for a couple years now, but then saw the other one, and now I can't make up my mind as to which I like more!  So I've decided I'd be thrilled with either!!!
Michael Kors Rose Gold.    Michael Kors (yes please!)
Those are my big ticket items, but honestly I'd be just as happy with  new clothes and/or accessories...or even gift cards to get them (Loft, Bevello, Target, Nordstrom).  I have bought very little for myself this season (contrary to what Josh may believe), so I'd be thrilled to do a little wardrobe building!
Oh, and as usual, if anyone wants to pass this along to Josh, I'd appreciate it:)

Fall Favorites

As we head into fall, I wanted to take some time to share with you some of the things I am most excited about this season!

Essie Sand Tropez: a good neutral, so it works with anything I'm wearing!  Bonus points because it's not as obvious when it chips, so I don't have to re-polish/walk around with a blaring nail issue every couple of days when inevitably one of my nails gets ruined.

Helluva Good Greek Yogurt Dip: French Onion.  Growing up, we always had a French Onion Helluva Good dip on the table during Steelers games (with some hard pretzels to dip in it).  Well, this Greek yogurt version tastes the exact same as the original.  And there's only 35 calories per 2 tbsp.  Honestly, I did't look at a regular tub to do a calorie comparison, but I have to assume this one's better!

Toms.  I know, I know...way late on the bandwagon here.  But until this point, I had never owned a pair of Toms (actually not true...I have a pair of ballet flats, but none that were good for fall).  Well, this summer, my aunt (again...technicality, because it's actually my mom's cousin, but to me, if you're my mom's age, you're my aunt, not second/third cousin whatever) who owns a shoe store in Richmond sent me about four pairs that people had bought, never worn, but they couldn't resell.  Needless to say, I'm super pumped to sport my cute, free shoes this fall!
Oh and I got Levi some adorable baby Toms as well that I can't wait for him to wear!

L'Oreal EverCurl Cream.  My hair is naturally wavy.  I've always liked wearing it curly because it's easy and generally pretty stylish.  But I've had a hard time finding a product that doesn't leave my curls crunchy, flat, and/or frizzy.  After using this product for a few weeks, I think I've found my solution.  Plus it smells really good!

Bethenny.  I debated including this one.  I was completely stoked to find out Bethenny's talk show was going to be airing this fall...and even more stoked that it was going to be on at 2PM locally (the time I thankfully lay my children down for their naps).  But a couple of days in, I found myself turning her off in favor of my DVR shows.  I gave her another try, though, a few days later, and enjoyed the show much more.  I really, really like her, so I'm hoping this turns out to be a pleasant way to spend an hour of my day this fall!

So that's what I'm into recently.  How bout you guys?  Any good Fall finds I should know about?
