1 French baguette, sliced into 1 inch slices
2 cups half and half
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
3/4 cup butter
1 1/3 cup brown sugar
3 tbsp. light corn syrup
- The night before, combine eggs, half and half, vanilla extract, and cinnamon in large bowl. Beat well. Butter a 9x13 baking dish, and arrange bread in bottom. Pour egg mixture over bread. Cover and refrigerate over night.
- Preheat oven to 350. Cover casserole with foil and bake 20 minutes.
- Meanwhile, combine butter, brown sugar, and corn syrup in small saucepan. Heat until bubbling.
- After the 20 minutes, uncover the casserole. Pour butter sauce over bread and cook an additional 20 minutes uncovered.
