Puh-puh-puh

That's Colton speak for "pumpkin."  Our toddler has grown quite fond of the orange gourds over the course of the last few months.  I've already showed you the joy that was our trip to the pumpkin patch.  We had made that trip last year, and while it was fun to watch the growing Colton take on new activities at the pumpkin patch,  I was even more excited to take on a couple other seasonal activities that Colton hadn't participated in last year.
***Warning: this post contains tons of toddler pictures. If that's not your thing, go ahead and stop now!***
First up was jack-o-lantern carving.  We got everything ready to head out back on the porch, and I couldn't wait for Colton to see and feel the inside of the pumpkin.  Well, our sweet boy was not so much into pumpkin carving.  Instead, he wanted to devote his time to running around the porch, climbing on the chairs, and pushing things around.  Chipper, on the other hand was a big fan of pumpkin carving.  Towards the end, Colton warmed up to the pumpkin a bit more, but his daddy was kind of dominating the process anyway (Josh got very into pumpkin carving!).

shhh...don't tell...Josh didn't want me to show anyone that he used a pattern!

Oh, and here's the shot of our pumpkin all lit up on Halloween night:

And with our pumpkin carving complete, it was, of course, time to hit the streets for Colton's first trick-or-treating!!!  I don't know who was more excited...him or me...actually, it's pretty safe to say I was more excited!  Per usual, my cautious tot was a little hesitant at first, but quickly got the hang of it, confidently grabbing into the candy buckets by the end.

enjoying the fruits of his labor!
