Happy birthday to our sweet, rowdy Chipper! On Monday, our first child will turn three. We have a few Chipperized birthday traditions around here. For each of his other birthdays, I have made him pancakes for breakfast (like from scratch...this is one spoiled doggy after all). Afterwards, we have taken him to the pet store so that he can pick out a toy and then stop by the dog park on the way home so he can run around and play with his buddies.

But like most other things recently for poor Chipper, this year, his birthday traditions will most likely fall by the wayside. His actual birthday is on a work day, so the time to make pancakes/go toy shopping/hit the dog park just isn't there. On top of that, the weekend is going to be spent away in DC, and while he will be going with us, Chipper will not be the focus of our activities.
Although Chipper does not get as much attention as he once did, we most certainly have not lost an ounce of affection for our sweet boy. Chipper is mischievous, but he is also loving, loyal, cuddly, and quite the big brother. In short, our little family would not be the same without him, so happy birthday Chip-Chip; we love you
